Dr. Mitchell Krieger practices general orthopaedic surgery, with an emphasis on knee injuries and surgery. He is a past director of the Michael Reese Hospital Arthritis and Joint Replacement Center. He was named one of the top five orthopaedic surgeons in the metropolitan area by Chicago Magazine. He was board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1971. Dr. Mark J. Schacht was born in Queens, N.Y. in 1954. Dr. Schacht received a combined undergraduate Medical degree from the University of Michigan Inteflex combined medical degree program. He completed two years of General Surgery Residency at Duke University Medical Center, then four years of Urology training at Northwestern University Medical Center. Dr. Schacht has served as the Director of Resident Education for the Michael Reese Urology Program; Director for the University of Illinois urology residents at Michael Reese Hospital and presently has the Urology Journal Club for the University of Illinois Urology residency. Dr. Prudence Krieger is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Purdue University. She attended the University of Illinois Medical School and graduated in 1972. She has been director of Pediatric Infectious Disease at Lutheran General Hospital since 1977. She is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease. She is director of Infection Control at Lutheran General Hospital. She is a frequent lecturer throughout the state of Illinois on complex Pediatric Infectious Disease problems. Colon/Rectal Surgery

Dr. Ernestine Hambrick was a Colon/Rectal Surgeon and was the first woman to become a board certified colon and rectal surgeon. She was the first woman chief of surgery and the first woman president of the medical staff at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. After spending almost twenty-five years as a colon and rectal surgeon and teacher, Dr. Hambrick left her highly successful clinical practice in 1998 to create a national education initiative directed towards the eradication of CR cancer.
